Every piece in the museum starts with a question: what if the things our cats use every day were beautiful enough to leave out in the room? The Parthenon is our answer in the shape of a temple.
Why a temple
Ancient temples were built on calm, repeating proportion — rows of columns, a sheltered space inside. It turns out that is also a very good description of what a cat wants: something to walk between, a roof overhead, and a quiet place to watch the room from. The architecture did most of the design work for us.
Made to be lived in
It is shaped from corrugated cardboard so it is light, warm, and easy to move when you vacuum. The columns are sturdy enough to lean on; the inside is a calm hideaway. It is a toy, a bed, and a small monument to your cat all at once.
